MDF Board
MDF Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF) is an engineered wood made from hardwood fibers that are bonded together with synthetic resins and waxes under high pressure and temperatures up to 240 degrees Celsius. Due to its uniform and fine texture, high bond strength, inherent stability and ease of processing, MDF wood sheets can be widely used in building materials, furniture production, residential and commercial interior design.
• Rugged and versatile
• Cheaper and cost saving compared to wood or plywood
• Raw MDF board has no chips or voids, providing a consistent surface
• The smooth surface of laminated mdf board allows it to be painted
• Easily cut with bandsaws, jigsaws, spiral saws without tearing or splinting
This MDF sheet looks and feels like wood, and the planks are veneered using a decorative wood grain.
Made of wood fibers that are subjected to high pressure and high temperatures. Laminates are generally denser than fiberboard or particleboard.
MDF panels are designed from small particles that bond together with resin under extreme pressure and temperature. Sawdust and chips are first cut into smaller particles, which are then compacted to form boards.
Fiberboard
Fiberboard is made using relatively lower temperatures compared to particleboard. Using wood chips as well as organic fibers from plants, this type of MDF panel is more environmentally friendly.
